Boston Duck Tour & New England Aquarium
Location: Boston, MA Price: $127.00
Date(s): 04/26/2025 Time:
Saturday, April 26, 2025

The fun begins as soon as you board your “DUCK”, a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. First, you’ll be greeted by one of their legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who will be narrating your sightseeing tour of Boston. Then you’re off on a journey like you’ve never had before. And as the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you lots of little-known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, it’s time for “Splashdown” as your captain splashes your DUCK right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines, a view you just won’t get anywhere else.

Then we’ll walk across the street to Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Four great places in one location – Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market and South Market, all set around a cobblestone promenade where jugglers, magicians and musicians entertain the passers-by.

Dine at a restaurant or at one of the many outdoor cafes. In addition, you’ll find thirty international food merchants inside the Quincy Market Food Colonnade – the largest food hall in New England. So, stroll, shop, eat, laugh, wander, wonder, and explore it all.

Guys and Dolls is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of Manhattan pairings: a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, and a showgirl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but. Set in the Manhattan of Damon Runyon’s short stories, Guys and Dolls tells of con-man Nathan Detroit’s efforts to find new life for his illegal, but notorious, crap game. When their trusty venue is found out by the police, Nathan has to find a new home for his crap game quickly - but he doesn’t have the dough to secure the one location he finds. Enter Sky Masterson, a high-rolling gambler willing to take on any honest bet with a high enough reward attached. Nathan bets Sky that he can’t take the “doll” of Nathan’s choosing to Havana, Cuba, with him on a date. When Sky agrees to the bet, Nathan chooses uptight Evangelist Sergeant Sarah Brown, head of Broadway’s Save-a-Soul Mission. From there, the water in each pool drops another 20 feet and disappears into a smaller, central void. The names of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.

Casco Bay's Mailboat Run & DiMillo's on the Water
Location: Portland, ME Price: $151.00
Date(s): 08/02/2025 Time:
Saturday, August 2, 2025

Our first stop is Len Libby Candies, a rare candy store where everything is still handmade. Walk past the endless variety of taffy, brittles, chocolate, and cookies to lock eyes with the real star of the show: Lenny, a life-sized chocolate moose. Lenny, weighing 1,700 pounds, has stood proudly (and somehow uneaten!) for over 25 years. There is also a whole corner dedicated to blueberries infused with honey, teas, chocolates, and even caramel popcorn.

Then we are off for a delicious lunch at DiMillo’s On the Water, serving the freshest seafood since 1954 aboard Maine’s only floating restaurant. Enjoy amazing views of the harbor from every table. Choose between the Baked Stuffed Chicken Breast served with fire roasted apple & cranberry stuffing, pecan panko crumbs with maple cream, Broiled Haddock topped with seasoned bread crumbs and lemon butter, or Honey Baked Scallops baked with ritz crackers crumbs & honey butter. Your entrée will include vegetable, potato, bread, coffee, tea, and soda. Don’t forget about dessert: Maine Blueberry Cobbler. Yum!

Then we’ll hop on Casco Bay’s Mailboat Run, a 2.5 to 3-hour cruise, the locals’ favorite way to experience Casco Bay. This true working boat carries passengers, mail, and freight to Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long, Cliff and Chebeague Islands. As the oldest running service of its kind, their Mailboat run not only delivers the mail and other goods to islanders, it offers landlubbers a glimpse at the realities of island life and the opportunity to adventure along Maine’s rugged coastline. Please note there is no food onboard, but plenty of seats and a bathroom. Bring your favorite beverage/snack for the cruise and watch the crew load and unload the cargo; it’s always interesting. This is a terrific and inexpensive way to see the islands and get a feel for what living there is like, so hop onboard!

Day 2 – Tuesday, September 16, 2025
Begin your day with a breakfast voucher to be used at the hotel market before meeting our step-on guide for a fun-filled day of touring. Our first stop overlooks the nation’s capital from its serene 624-acre hilltop perch, Arlington National Cemetery. This hallowed ground serves as the final resting place for numerous presidents, Supreme Court justices, astronauts, and other public servants, including more than 400,000 military personnel, veterans, and their immediate families. This national landmark is the country’s largest and most important military cemetery. Still an active burial ground, it conducts over 25 funerals each weekday. Then visit The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located on a hill on high ground at almost the perfect geographic center of the cemetery. This site exemplifies valor and honor by remembering those who died committing brave and selfless acts with no one to bear witness to them. Next, we will witness the Changing of the Guard: since April 6, 1948, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has been guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with zero exception. Every hour during winter and every half hour during the summer and daylight hours, one guard relieves another from their post in a ceremony with the precision of a Swiss watch.

Then we will visit The U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue), perhaps one of the most moving memorials in the DC region. One of the largest bronze statues ever cast, it depicts the six Marines who raised the second American flag at Iwo Jima in the Japanese Volcano Islands on February 23, 1945, signifying the conclusion of the American campaign in the Pacific during World War II. The memorial is dedicated to the Marines and their comrades of other services who fell fighting beside them.

Next, we will stop at the Air Force Memorial, a 270ft memorial with three stainless steel spires which soar skyward to honor past & present members of the U.S. Air Force. The redesigned Memorial is both BOLD, graceful, and truly representational of the Air Force.

We then will continue to where American history comes alive at George Washington's Mount Vernon, the most popular historic estate in America. Begin with lunch on your own before we see Washington's Mansion and historic outbuildings like the blacksmith’s shop and the spinning house. Pay your respects at a memorial to the enslaved people who lived and worked on the estate, and at the tomb of George & Martha Washington. Stroll the beautiful gardens, and see the animals at this working farm.

Take a second and visit the Ford Orientation Center. The center contains sculptures, paintings, portraits, models, photos, films, documents, and diverse artifacts, with succinct descriptions and pithy quotations describing the life, times and accomplishments of our nation's first president. With 25 state-of-the-art galleries, the museum displays many objects shown at Mount Vernon for the first time.

For this evening enjoy dinner at Fish Market Restaurant, located in historic Old Town Alexandria, offering the best and freshest seafood in Northern Virginia.

Then we will depart for an Illuminated Monument Driving Tour. Washington’s grand buildings, memorials, and monuments sparkle and are impressive during the day, but in the evenings, they are illuminated, soft, focusing the solid stones and bronzes, the fountains and water features shimmer in reflection. Impressive during the day but stunning at night! We will drive by the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue), Air Force Memorial, and the Washington Monument. We will make a stop at the National World War II Memorial, then continue our drive by of other memorials and monuments as time permits.

Next, we will walk through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Explore the Hall of Flags, see the larger-than-life bronze bust of Kennedy himself, see the incredible view of the city from the rooftop terrace, discover the new REACH Expansion, and experience the NEW Art & Ideals: John F. Kennedy Exhibit! Then we will return back to our resort after an exciting first day. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 3 – Wednesday, September 17, 2025
Begin your day with a breakfast voucher to be used at the hotel market before meeting our step-on guide for another fun-filled day of touring.

Today we will visit the White House Visitor Center, the visitor center offers visitors a window into the president's iconic home. Visitors can explore an interactive touchscreen tour of the White House, view over 90 artifacts from the White House collection, shop at the White House Historical Association retail store, and view the 14-minute film, "White House: Reflections from Within." Then we will get a chance for a photo opportunity of the outside of the White House.

Next, we will stop at The National World War II Memorial. The memorial consists of 56 granite pillars, decorated with bronze laurel wreaths, representing U.S. states and territories, and a pair of small triumphal arches for the Atlantic and Pacific theaters, surrounding an oval plaza and fountain. On its short axis is a memorial wall of gold stars representing the fallen, and opposite, a sloped and stepped entrance plaza leading up to the oval from 17th Street.

Then walk through Lafayette Square, a seven-acre public park located directly across from the White House and flanked by famous edifices including the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Department of the Treasury, and Decatur House. It has been used as a racetrack, a graveyard, a zoo, an encampment for soldiers during the War of 1812, and many political protests and celebrations.

Next, enjoy lunch on your own at the Reagan Building/International Trade Center Food Court, DC’s favorite food court. With 17 eateries featuring flavors from around the world, you’re sure to find a dish that will please your palate. With seating available for nearly 1,000 people, their spacious food court is the perfect setting for locals, nearby workers, school groups, and tourists. Ideally located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC near the National Mall, the White House, the Smithsonian Museums, and many other historical and cultural sites, they welcome tens of thousands of guests a year to their food court.

After lunch we will arrive at The People’s House: A White House Experience, a first-of-its-kind, which tells the story of the Executive Mansion, its inhabitants, and the people who have dedicated their careers to its functions like never before. This 33,000-square-foot, three-floor site features exhibits and galleries that bring the White House and its storied history to life.

Then we return to the hotel to freshen up before we enjoy dinner onboard the Odyssey III Cruise Ship, Washington’s Premier Dining Cruise! Travel beneath the historic bridges spanning the Potomac while enjoying live entertainment, impeccable cuisine, and unparalleled views of the Capital’s greatest monuments. Then we will return back to our resort to rest before another day exploring. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 4 – Thursday, September 18, 2025
Begin your day with a breakfast voucher to be used at the hotel market before meeting our step-on guide for another fun-filled day of touring. Today we embark on a guided Monuments Tour. Our first stop is The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which stands as a symbol of America’s honor and recognition of the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War. Inscribed on the black granite walls are the names of more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives or remain missing. The Memorial is dedicated to honor the courage, sacrifice, and devotion to duty and country of all who answered the call to serve during one of the most divisive wars in U.S. history.
Our next stop is The Lincoln Memorial, this Greek Doric-style memorial sits on the western end of the National Mall overlooking the Reflecting Pool, and has been the setting of many famous speeches throughout its history. Inside, inscriptions from his Gettysburg Address and Second Inaugural Address flank the 19-foot marble statue of our 16th President. Get a chance to stand where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his “I Have A Dream” speech.

Then we arrive at The Korean War Veterans Memorial, a triangular field containing 19 ground troopers, clad in foul weather ponchos, fully equipped for battle. Representing those who supported the ground troops are hundreds of faces etched on a polished granite wall. In 2022, the memorial was expanded to include a granite memorial wall, engraved with the names of U.S. military personnel who died in the war.

Next, we will stop at The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, this memorial to FDR combines sculpture, water, and natural landscape to forge a dramatic setting for recounting the events and terms of office of the nation’s 32nd President. The FDR Memorial is unique among the memorials of Washington, DC. Its shade trees, waterfalls, statuary, and quiet alcoves create the feeling of a secluded garden rather than an imposing structure. The memorial is divided into four outdoor galleries, or rooms, one for each of FDR’s terms in office. Water cascades and quiet pools are present throughout.

Then we arrive at The Jefferson Memorial, this 19-foot statue of the third president, Thomas Jefferson, is centered in a large open-air rotunda situated on the edge of the Tidal Basin. There are quotes on the walls from the Declaration of Independence and other writings. Looking from the memorial across the Tidal Basin provides an unforgettable view of the city.

Next, we will stop at The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. A 30-foot carving of King on a feature called the "Stone of Hope" that is being moved out of a feature called the "Mountain of Despair," a reference to a line in the "I Have a Dream speech" called back in the inscription on the side of the statue. King is represented standing firm, resolute, and thoughtful, holding a rolled stack of papers. Quotations from speeches and writings are engraved on the arced "Inscription Wall" on the flanks of the memorial. The long-awaited memorial utilizes landscape elements to powerfully convey three fundamental and recurring themes of Dr. King's life: justice, democracy, and hope.

Then enjoy lunch on your own at the Capitol Visitor Center Cafeteria, offering a wide variety of menu options for a wide variety of appetites. After lunch, we will get a chance to visit The United States Capitol, the most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world, housing Congress since 1800. The Capitol is where Congress meets to write the laws of our nation, and where presidents are inaugurated and deliver their annual State of the Union messages. Its ceilings are decorated with historic images, and its halls are lined with statues and paintings representing great events and people in the nation's history.

Next, we visit the United States Library of Congress, which provides Congress with objective research to inform the legislative process, administers the national copyright system, and manages the largest collection of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in the world.

Then we will visit the outside of The Supreme Court Building, the highest court in the federal judiciary of the United States. The building serves as the official workplace of the chief justice of the United States and the eight associate justices of the Supreme Court. Within the walls of this white marble monument the third branch of government exercises its mandate to protect and interpret the spirit of the Constitution.

Next, we will stop at the Eisenhower Memorial. This bronze heroic-sized statue of Eisenhower as 34th President of the United States places him at the center of the White House Oval Office flanked by sculptures of civilian and military advisors, symbolizing the balance Eisenhower struck between conflicting demands of national security and peaceful progress. The bas-relief global background depicts a map of the world symbolizing Eisenhower's role as a world statesman and preeminent internationalist pursuing universal peace.

Tonight, enjoy dinner at Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place, an upscale restaurant on the waterfront in Georgetown, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows & outdoor seating providing scenic river views as patrons dine on the freshest of seafood. Then return back to the hotel to get a good night’s sleep before another day of touring. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 5 – Friday, September 19, 2025
Begin your day with a breakfast voucher to be used at the hotel market before checking out. Newport Mansions at Christmas Time
Location: Newport, RI Price: $146.00
Date(s): 12/02/2025 Time:
Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Begin the day at the Marble House, designed as a summer cottage for Alva and William Kissam Vanderbilt by the society architect Richard Morris Hunt. It was unparalleled in opulence for an American house when it was completed in 1892. Its temple-front portico, which also serves as a porte-cochère, resembles that of the White House. It was a social landmark that helped spark the transformation of Newport from a relatively relaxed summer colony of wooden houses to the now legendary resort of opulent stone palaces. The 50-room mansion required a staff of 36 servants, including butlers, maids, coachmen, and footmen.

Then enjoy lunch at the Brick Alley Pub. Choose between the Baked Lobster Mac N’ Cheese, Chicken Parmigiana, Forever Braised Boneless Short Ribs, Simply Baked New England Cod, Brick Alley Lobster Salad Roll, or Penne al Pomodoro. Your meal includes soup or salad, iced tea, soda, coffee, lemonade, and dessert.

Then, we’ll take Newport's Ten Mile Drive, combing the history of a wealthy summer community with the fabulous Newport recreational treasure of public parks and miles of public access shoreline, to rank as one of the most popular "drives" in the country. The "Drive" is way more than what you can see in a short and hurried 35-minute bus trip over the route. Many of the home owners seek a quiet summer and have gone to great lengths to insure their tranquil settings. Closed gates are very common and trees are strategically allowed to grow in ways that enhance resident privacy.

End the day at The Breakers Mansion; a 70-room mansion that has approximately 65,000 sq. ft. of living space. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America.

A Twisted Christmas Carol @ Newport Playhouse
Location: Newport, RI Price: $139.00
Date(s): 12/11/2025 Time:
Thursday, December 11, 2025

Visit this dinner theatre with their unique experience. Enjoy a great buffet, a fun-filled cabaret, and hilarious play.

Today’s play: A Twisted Christmas Carol is a Texas spoof of Charles Dickens' classic ‘A Christmas Carol’. It’s Christmas Eve in a small west Texas town, and cantankerous barbecue joint owner Buford Johnson gets in an argument with his wife Darla, tells her he's skipping Christmas, storms out of the restaurant, goes four-wheeling in his pickup, gets hit by a twister, rolls his truck, and goes into a coma. He comes back in a dream where he's visited by ex-business partner, Hank Walker, who plays the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. Hank takes Buford on a journey similar to Scrooge's in A Christmas Carol, only Texas-style.

Before the play, enjoy their extensive, hearty buffet that does not skimp on quality or selection. Everything is prepared on the premises, with Newport Playhouse offering a large variety of hot and cold foods, main entrees, side dishes, beverages, and homemade desserts. A full liquor service is also available. You will not be disappointed!

After, the dining room is transformed into a delightful cabaret, where their company members will entertain you with songs and laughter while you enjoy your dessert.

Then, it’s a short stroll from the dining room to their intimate theatre. You’ll have reserved seating to enjoy some of the finest entertainment available. Professional actors will delight you with a wonderful play worthy of Broadway.
