Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then we will continue our travel to the beautiful state of South Carolina. We’ll make a stop for lunch on your own and continue the drive to Myrtle Beach. Before arriving at our hotel, we will stop at the Chestnut Hill Restaurant for dinner. After dinner we will check into the Beach Cove Resort (843-286-5690) – North Myrtle Beach SC, excited to finally be in Myrtle Beach. This relaxed high-rise resort overlooking the ocean is a 2-minute walk from the nearest beach and a 14-minute walk from the Barefoot Landing shopping complex. We’ll start the day with breakfast at the resort and then we will depart for our Barefoot Queen Sightseeing Cruise just ten minutes from the resort. A 70 ft. authentic wooden riverboat featuring two heated/cooled interior decks and three outdoor deck spaces to enjoy fresh air. On board entertainment and narration are also included on each cruise. After the cruise you can walk around and get lunch on your own before we return to the hotel. After a little time to yourself we will depart for dinner at Joe’s Bar & Grill. After dinner we will then head to the Carolina Opry for a Show. Day 5 – Thursday, May 11, 2023
Once again breakfast is included at the resort. Today you have a FREE DAY to do as you please and enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches of Myrtle Beach. Dinner tonight is at Chuck’s Steakhouse. Relax and dine casually amid the lodge-like atmosphere that can best be described as one of "rustic elegance." Two enclosed waterfront decks, three fireplaces, a comfortable library, and a view of the Intracoastal Waterway help make Chuck's Steak House a destination for our loyal customers who return year after year. After dinner we will end the day with a show at the Alabama Theatre located in the Barefoot Landing shopping complex. Day 1 – Sunday, July 9, 2023
Today we head to the beautiful state of Vermont where the Green Mountain National Forest encompasses more than 400,000 acres in southwestern & central Vermont. This stunning mountain range is characterized by striking scenery that combines rugged mountain peaks with its remarkable history and it’s quintessential Vermont villages. First, we’ll make a quick stop at L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates where you can purchase impeccably made chocolates in an array of delicious flavors. Afterwards enjoy a wonderful lunch with a French owner/chef featuring a dessert demo, which the group will enjoy themselves for dessert! Next, a visit to Morgan Horse Farm, a unique and truly special experience. There is nothing more majestic than watching the Morgan horse in its glory! At the horse farm, the staff is dedicated to maintaining and training Vermont’s state animal. You will learn about its history, and see the beautiful Morgan’s up close and personal! Followed by a quick stop at Dakin Farm, a place featured on the Food channel and in countless publications across the country, this is a real Vermont taste experience. First you will enter the sugarhouse and learn about the challenging maple syrup industry, a significant part of Vermont’s culture. Then visit their store and tasting room. They have a USDA-inspected meat plant where meats and cheese are smoked using the Vermont farm’s original 1800’s recipes. While there, tasting the famous Vermont creemee is a must! Finally, at the end of a winding Vermont country road, on the shores of Lake Champlain, you’ll find the escape you’ve been seeking. We’ll check into the Basin Harbor Resort, a fifth generation run resort, with 700 acres of beautiful property to explore. You may choose to request to stay in one of their 74 private cottages, each cottage at this Vermont lakeside resort has a personality of its own. Another option you may request if you would like something less secluded is a guest room in one of their guest houses or Main lodge (the Main lodge has a front desk, the guest houses do not). Please note that the private cottages & each guestroom has their own private bath, however, do not have televisions. Passengers are asked to make their requests between a private cottage, a guest room in one of their guest houses or a guest room in their Main lodge (the guest rooms have more of a hotel feeling). View the magnificent scenery from Vermont’s largest lake with spectacular views of New York’s Adirondacks, as well as, Vermont’s Green Mountains, as you hear narration about the history of this beautiful region. The captain’s narration will fascinate you with Lake Champlain's rich history, all while he points out geographic formations, sights of ship wrecks, and more. After the cruise, we will bring you for lunch on your own at the Historic Church Street Marketplace. Visit this pedestrian walkway for lunch and shopping on your own where over 160 fashionable boutiques and bistros are located. Please note that Poutine isn’t a traditional Vermont food (it’s French Canadian), that noted, Burlington is so close to Canada that you can get it here in many places. Poutine consists of French fries covered in gravy and cheese curds. It might sound odd at first, but it is insanely delicious. Your next stop, Shelburne Museum, provides an unparalleled and unique experience of American history, art, and design. You start with a partially guided tour. Then, spend time at this Museum, commonly referred to as “New England’s Smithsonian”. This gem is designed to allow visitors the pleasure of discovery and exploration, the Museum includes thirty-nine distinct structures on forty-five acres, each is filled with beautiful, fascinating, and whimsical objects. Before dinner, there is one must stop! The Shelburne Winery, the view is spectacular, the orchards stunning, and the Apple brandy and Apple jack (hard cider) tasting is a real treat. Not a drinker, hot mulled or cold cider can be substituted and are equally as delish. Tonight, dinner included at a local Sugarhouse (think everything maple!) Day 3 – Tuesday, July 11, 2023
Start another day off right with an included breakfast at the resort, then we will meet our guide and depart the resort. Our first stop is Cold Hollow Cider Mill, a Vermont legend since 1974, the Mill is now New England’s largest producer of apple cider, equally important you will want to pick up a warm cider doughnut to eat or take with you! Meanwhile learn about cider making and enjoy free samples of cider and other VT products. There is a glass observation beehive in the honey section and you may choose to visit Grand View Winery, a year-round Christmas Shop, or you can taste the flavors of homemade fudge! Next, we head to Ben and Jerry’s for their factory experience and immerse yourself in all things Ben & Jerry’s! Enjoy a guided tour of their humble beginnings, how they make their pints all the while overlooking the production room floor. At last, ending the tour in their Flavor Room with a tasting of one of our euphoric flavors and a cow joke, or two! After our factory tour, we head to Stowe for lunch on your own. Experience Stowe with a Main Street that is as “folksy as a yellowed New England postcard”. Passengers can stroll through art galleries and jewelry stores or grab a cup of coffee or a fountain treat at the Malt Shop, all the while experiencing quality products for a variety of tastes with nearly 50 unique boutiques, a country store, galleries, specialty market, sporting goods store & more. While in downtown don’t forget to stop at Laughing Moon Chocolates, the chocolate’s centers are prepared in small batches using fresh, local ingredients, making the finished product distinctive. Featuring unique Vermont combinations and flavors, you won’t find chocolates like these anywhere else – each piece is hand-crafted. Afterwards we will soar to the top of Vermont and see Vermont’s greatest views the easy way – in the famous Stowe Gondola SkyRide. While there from the top of Mt. Mansfield – Vermont’s highest mountain – you can access their Cliff House Restaurant, visit the Summit Retail Gift Shop and enjoy a sweet treat at The Waffle. Next, we visit the famed Trapp Family Lodge where the Von Trapp’s made their home after leaving their beloved Austria during World War II. The tour begins with an overview of the von Trapp family history – actual vs. movie version, then a discussion of the property’s history and the family’s early years in America. View a documentary film of Maria von Trapp’s memories during her final visit to her former home in Salzburg, Austria. When possible, a Von Trapp family member leads the tour or hosts a Q and A session. Afterwards we will enjoy dinner included at a local favorite. Meals Included – Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 4 – Wednesday, July 12, 2023
Enjoy our last breakfast at the resort before our visit to Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. This 8th generation maple syrup producer will regale you with stories and explain the sugaring process, which they still make the old-fashioned way. Did you know it takes forty gallons of maple sap to produce just ONE gallon of pure Vermont maple syrup? You will enjoy learning this and many other tasty facts about maple sugarin’. Next, we will stop in Montpelier – Vermont’s State Capital. Want a great place to take a group picture, visit the steps of the Capitol Building. Lunch is included. After lunch we visit Rock of Ages Granite Quarry, this extraordinary location and learn about the largest deep-hole dimension granite quarry in the world! First, you will head up to their largest, most spectacular quarry for a narrated tour (the quarry is pretty amazing, but so are the gorgeous mountain views!) as your guide shares their passion for all things granite: its history, the area’s cultural heritage, artistry, geology, and more. Then head back to the state-of-the-art factory where you will enjoy the fabulous brand-new Visitors Center and gift shop. Following with the theme, our next visit is to Granite Sculptures of Hope Cemetery, this renown granite artist’s Cemetery is not far from this quarry. Established in 1895, this cemetery is known by many as the “Granite Capital of the World”. It is documented that stonecutters from all over the world, especially those from Italy, flocked to Vermont to enjoy the booming granite industry. It is also said that its granite-carver artists turned Hope Cemetery into an artists’ canvas. We will end our trip with a stop at the famous Vermont Country Store, famed for being “the purveyor of the practical but hard to find,” is an experience you will long remember! You will find such brands from the past as Tangee Lipstick, Buster Brown Socks, and Tinkertoys. A visit here is truly a walk down memory lane! Note: the original store is located in Weston, VT…this is the ‘second store’, and wonderful too! You can grab a sandwich before you leave or while you are there or wait until home to have dinner. Our first stop, the Salt Museum, discover the industry that created the City of Syracuse and supplied the entire nation with salt! We’ll explore the site of an original boiling block where brine (salt water) was turned into what was then considered one of the country's most precious commodities. See the actual kettles, wooden barrels and other equipment that were used in this fascinating process which came to an end in the 1920's. Constructed from timbers taken from actual salt warehouses, it provides an old-time rustic experience during your visit. Then enjoy a delicious dinner at Delmonico’s Steakhouse before crossing the border. At last, we arrive at the Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel, Ontario, Canada, for a three-night stay. Each night, enjoy Falls Illumination where the Falls are lit in the colors of the rainbow, also the Fallsview Casino is right across the street. Meals Included – Dinner.

Day 2 – Wednesday, July 26, 2023
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we meet our guide for a guided tour of Niagara Falls. View and visit such sites as the Hydro Floral Clock, maintained by The School of Horticulture students. The clock face is changed twice a season indicating the changing flora and fauna life throughout the year. Afterward get ready to hear the thunderous roar of these great Niagara Falls and enjoy some time to explore the promenade and take pictures before stepping on board this Voyage to the Falls Cruise for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Be prepared to get sprayed when entering into the mighty mists of the Horseshoe Falls! Enjoy an included lunch together. Once finished we’re off to see what it is like Behind The Falls! Descend 150 ft. by elevator, where a short tunnel gives access to two outdoor observation decks and two portals located directly behind the Falls and experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down to the basin below. Then take a walk along the gorge from the Rainbow Bridge to Table Rock. It is something everyone will want to try to do. Along the way you can view both the American & Canadian Falls while enjoying the beautifully landscaped Queen Victoria Park and Oakes Gardens. Before dinner take a ride on Canada's largest observation sky-wheel, towering 175 feet over the falls, one of the most exciting ways to see Niagara Falls. Day 3 – Thursday, July 27, 2023
Start your day off with breakfast at the hotel before a wonderful day of touring. Our first stop Niagara Parks’ Botanical Gardens, a European-style garden with 99-acres of beautifully maintained gardens, including perennials, rhododendrons, azaleas, a formal parterre garden, shade, herb and vegetable plantings, as well as a world-famous rose garden featuring over 2,400 roses. Footpaths wind past the Butterfly Conservatory and butterfly garden, ponds and an arboretum featuring one of Canada’s finest collections of ornamental trees and shrubs. Next, you’ll journey along for lunch on your own in the picturesque Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Often described as one of the prettiest villages in Ontario, this is a well-preserved Victorian style 19th-century village and the heart of Ontario Wine Country. Here, you have time to explore shop and browse. This afternoon, you’ll drive through this magnificent wine country and visit one of the regions renowned Vineyards for a wine tasting. It is notable for its collection of sailing ships and boats and for the re-creation of the crafts and fabric of an entire 19th-century seafaring village. After exploring the museum and just before leaving enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch that will delight your taste buds. After lunch we head back to the resort to relax and enjoy the resort and its amenities. That evening we head to Harp & Dragon Irish Pub & Restaurant, a traditional Irish Pub located in the heart of Norwich. Enjoy a hearty meal, choose between the Roasted Turkey or Roast Beef Dinner. During this cruise see Essex Harbor and Coves, The Great Meadow, Hamburg Cove, Joshua Rock, Nott Island, the towns of Old Lyme, Lyme, Essex, Deep River and more. Afterward you can explore, on your own, the three floors of exhibit galleries at the Connecticut River Museum. Learn the story of the Connecticut River and its people through fascinating exhibits. Then take a leisurely stroll, on your own, and browse the shops in the quaint Village of Essex for unusual and sought-after fashions, gifts and more. We begin our trip to the USS Albacore Submarine & Museum. The USS Albacore is a research submarine, designed by the U.S. Navy to test experimental features used in modern submarines. Every visitor can go inside and explore this remarkable submarine. You will be able to look through the periscope, explore the control room, engineering spaces, and bunkrooms, and hear crew members tell of things that happened when they were at sea. Please note due to the restrictive nature of this submarine experience, those with the following restraints such as those who use canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs or those who cannot lift legs over 17 inches may not be able to board. Please note if you are not able to board there are places for you to still enjoy such as beautiful Memorial Garden that preserves the memory of those who have served on Albacore and other U.S. submarines, as well as, their visitor center. The park's Visitor Center includes a museum which contains many photographs and historic artifacts from Albacore and other submarines. Afterwards we will bring you to Augusta to a lobster shack for lunch on your own, where everyone will get a chance to order off their menu. This family owned and operated restaurant sells delicious seafood that will give you a true taste of Maine! Note that there are options other than seafood available that are sure to satisfy anyone. Next, we will visit Fort Knox Historic Site and Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory. Fort Knox State Historic Site is the home of Maine's largest and most visited historic site featuring amazing architecture and unparalleled master craftsmanship. This 19th-century granite fort features a modern bridge with a 420-ft. observation tower. Penobscot Narrows Observatory caps of one the most impressive engineering structures in the world and was built in conjunction with the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. Visitors to the observatory ride Maine's fastest elevator up 420' feet for breathtaking 360-degree views of the Penobscot Bay area. If you are looking to really see the Mid-coast region of Maine and even Mount Desert Island, then the Penobscot Narrows Observatory has everything that you want and more. Day 2 – Thursday, August 31, 2023
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before we meet our guide to head to Acadia National Park, a 47,000-acre park primarily on Maine’s Mount Desert covering woodland, rocky beaches and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. You will travel the entire 27-mile Park Loop Road with stops at Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole on Ocean Drive, plus a stop at the Jordan Pond House. Later enjoy lunch on your own in Bar Harbor, along with a little shopping. Afterwards right in town, arrive as a group to The Abbe Museum for a guided tour, Maine’s only Smithsonian Affiliate, and one of the best places to learn about both the history and contemporary cultures of Native peoples in what is now known as Maine. Then enjoy a little time to wander at the museum or in town or choose to go back to the hotel - minutes away by foot. We recommend that you walk by Saint Saviour's Episcopal Church to see the Tiffany windows (Mt Dessert Rd). Meet in the lobby for dinner as a group, dinner & entertainment are included. Tonight, you are in for a real treat! Timber Tina’s Great Maine Lumberjack Show, 12 exciting events packed into an hour and 15-minute show such as Axe throwing, Log Rolling, Underhand Chopping, Power Hot Sawing, Obstacle Pole Relay, Crosscut Sawing, Pole Climbing... and more! Enjoy our last breakfast at the hotel before we check out. Our first stop on our way home is to Old Fort Western, a living museum and National Historic Landmark, America's oldest wooden French & Indian War era garrison in North America dedicated to preserving and protecting 300 years of Maine and New England History. During our guided tour we’ll learn the rich-experiences of daily life in the 18th century! Afterwards we’ll make a stop in Portland’s Old Port for lunch on your own. After lunch enjoy a Tour of Portland with a step-on guide. Visit the Portland Head Light, which was commissioned by George Washington then learn all about the history of this region to include going by Victoria Mansion, the Longfellow House, the Portland Observatory and the Eastern Promenade, where one will see breathtaking views of Casco Bay.
