The fun begins as soon as you board your “DUCK”, a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. First, you’ll be greeted by one of their legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who will be narrating your sightseeing tour of Boston. Then you’re off on a journey like you’ve never had before. And as the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you lots of little-known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, it’s time for “Splashdown” as your captain splashes your DUCK right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines, a view you just won’t get anywhere else.
Then we’ll walk across the street to Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Four great places in one location – Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market and South Market, all set around a cobblestone promenade where jugglers, magicians and musicians entertain the passers-by.
Dine at a restaurant or at one of the many outdoor cafes. In addition, you’ll find thirty international food merchants inside the Quincy Market Food Colonnade – the largest food hall in New England. So, stroll, shop, eat, laugh, wander, wonder, and explore it all.
After lunch, walk back across the street to the New England Aquarium, home to thousands of aquatic animals - from northern fur seals to giant Pacific octopus to little blue penguins. They also offer a wide range of exhibits, including the largest shark ray touch tank on the East Coast and the Giant Ocean Tank, a four-story coral reef home to Myrtle the green sea turtle and hundreds of other Caribbean animals.

Our first stop is Len Libby Candies, a rare candy store where everything is still handmade. Walk past the endless variety of taffy, brittles, chocolate, and cookies to lock eyes with the real star of the show: Lenny, a life-sized chocolate moose. Lenny, weighing 1,700 pounds, has stood proudly (and somehow uneaten!) for over 25 years. There is also a whole corner dedicated to blueberries infused with honey, teas, chocolates, and even caramel popcorn.
Then we are off for a delicious lunch at DiMillo’s On the Water, serving the freshest seafood since 1954 aboard Maine’s only floating restaurant. Enjoy amazing views of the harbor from every table. Choose between the Baked Stuffed Chicken Breast served with fire roasted apple & cranberry stuffing, pecan panko crumbs with maple cream, Broiled Haddock topped with seasoned bread crumbs and lemon butter, or Honey Baked Scallops baked with ritz crackers crumbs & honey butter. Your entrée will include vegetable, potato, bread, coffee, tea, and soda. Don’t forget about dessert: Maine Blueberry Cobbler. Yum!
Then we’ll hop on Casco Bay’s Mailboat Run, a 2.5 to 3-hour cruise, the locals’ favorite way to experience Casco Bay. This true working boat carries passengers, mail, and freight to Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long, Cliff and Chebeague Islands. As the oldest running service of its kind, their Mailboat run not only delivers the mail and other goods to islanders, it offers landlubbers a glimpse at the realities of island life and the opportunity to adventure along Maine’s rugged coastline. Please note there is no food onboard, but plenty of seats and a bathroom. Bring your favorite beverage/snack for the cruise and watch the crew load and unload the cargo; it’s always interesting. This is a terrific and inexpensive way to see the islands and get a feel for what living there is like, so hop onboard!

Ahoy! Welcome to the Real Pirates Museum, home to the only verified pirate treasure in the world! Real Pirates Salem recounts the real-life story of "Black Sam" Bellamy and his fabled beloved, Maria Hallett. Bellamy captained the Whydah Gally, a pirate ship which wrecked off Cape Cod in 1717. While his body was never found, tales of Maria cast her as a local witch following Bellamy's demise. Voyage through pirate history with a museum over 300 years in the making with this fascinating guided tour! This museum features real artifacts and treasure from the shipwrecked Whydah Gally. From lore to legendary find, see and touch the world’s only authenticated pirate treasure ever discovered – including coins, cannons and weapons recovered from the ocean floor by underwater explorer Barry Clifford. Begin the day at the Marble House, designed as a summer cottage for Alva and William Kissam Vanderbilt by the society architect Richard Morris Hunt. It was unparalleled in opulence for an American house when it was completed in 1892. Its temple-front portico, which also serves as a porte-cochère, resembles that of the White House. It was a social landmark that helped spark the transformation of Newport from a relatively relaxed summer colony of wooden houses to the now legendary resort of opulent stone palaces. The 50-room mansion required a staff of 36 servants, including butlers, maids, coachmen, and footmen.
Then enjoy lunch at the Brick Alley Pub. Choose between the Baked Lobster Mac N’ Cheese, Chicken Parmigiana, Forever Braised Boneless Short Ribs, Simply Baked New England Cod, Brick Alley Lobster Salad Roll, or Penne al Pomodoro. Your meal includes soup or salad, iced tea, soda, coffee, lemonade, and dessert.
Then, we’ll take Newport's Ten Mile Drive, combing the history of a wealthy summer community with the fabulous Newport recreational treasure of public parks and miles of public access shoreline, to rank as one of the most popular "drives" in the country. The "Drive" is way more than what you can see in a short and hurried 35-minute bus trip over the route. Many of the home owners seek a quiet summer and have gone to great lengths to insure their tranquil settings. Closed gates are very common and trees are strategically allowed to grow in ways that enhance resident privacy.
End the day at The Breakers Mansion; a 70-room mansion that has approximately 65,000 sq. ft. of living space. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America.
